Melia Cala Galdana doesn&#8217;t need to. Its greatest asset is the moment you step onto your balcony and see the sweeping horseshoe bay of Cala Galdana stretching out below. Of course there are other areas in Menorca to explore and you can read about those right <a href=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/fr\/why-menorca-is-the-mediterraneans-most-underrated-luxury-escape\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/why-menorca-is-the-mediterraneans-most-underrated-luxury-escape\/\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4476-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4476-980x735.jpeg 980w, https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4476-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having stayed in the Level Junior Suite Panoramic view, it&#8217;s difficult to imagine a better vantage point on the island or indeed in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From sunrise to sunset, the view becomes part of the holiday itself. Early morning light spills across the turquoise water, while evenings bring golden hues that slowly fade behind the bright cliffs. More than once, I found myself delaying dinner simply to watch the changing colours from the balcony with a glass of wine in hand (and the empty bottle next to me)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The room <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Level junior suite strikes an excellent balance between luxury and comfort. The room feels spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a dedicated dressing area and walk in wardrobe that makes longer stays particularly comfortable. The centrepiece is undoubtedly the freestanding bathtub positioned to take advantage of those remarkable views. There&#8217;s something wonderfully indulgent about soaking in a bath while looking out across one of the world&#8217;s most beautiful beaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_5027-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-411\" style=\"width:572px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bed deserves a special mention, Large, exceptionally comfortable and complemented by a pillow menu, it provided some of the best I&#8217;ve experienced in a mediterranean hotel. Every evening felt like climbing into a cloud suspended above the bay, especially after a full turndown service. The room would be cleaned again, amenities refreshed, bedding refreshed and a small bedtime treat placed upon your pillow. Perfection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why The Level Is Worth It<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For me, The Level is what elevates Melia Cala Galdana from an excellent hotel to a truly memorable one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the day , guests have access to the exclusive Level Lounge where drinks, wines, snacks and light refreshments are available in a relaxed setting overlooking the bay. It quickly becomes somewhere you&#8217;ll find yourself returning to several times a day, often more as the wine sets in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the highlights was discovering wines from Menorca&#8217;s Binifadet Vineyard. Their whites are particularly enjoyable in the island climate, typically offering fresh citrus notes, green apple and Mediterranean herbs with a crisp minimality that reflects Menorca&#8217;s coastal character. Sitting in the lounge with a chilled glass while looking across Cala Galdana feels wonderfully connected to the island itself, sit out on the balcony raised above the bay and feel the warm sun on your face and stop as the island truly displays its true self in those moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Level also grants access to the adults only infinity pool at Cape Nao, arguably one of the hotel&#8217;s standout features. Perched above the beach, the pool offers uninterrupted views across the bay, creating a far quieter and more exclusive atmosphere than the main pool areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Service around the pool is attentive without being intrusive and the setting encourages long, unhurried afternoons under the Menorcan sun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"770\" height=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_1833-770x1024.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-200\" style=\"width:717px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Food and Drink<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cape Nao deserves recognition as one of the hotels strongest culinary offerings. Positioned directly beside the beach, it combines spectacular views with a menu that celebrates mediterranean flavours and local ingredients! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fresh seafood naturally takes centre stage, alongside rice dishes, salads and Menorcan specialities. Paired with a chilled local wine, lunch or dinner here become one of the highlights of the stay. My recommendation is to try the Muga pinot Noir with local Menorcan beef. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wider hotel offers several dining options, including the excellent breakfast experience where everything from freshly prepared egg dishes to local pastries and fruit is available in abundance. The quality and variety consistently exceed expectations. However my advice is to stay away from the half board offering, which only gives you access to the buffet restaurant Mosaico. whilst pleasant, this doesn&#8217;t give you an authentic feel and the food is somewhat rushed here (mainly as its set up is more suited to faster paced meals)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/roamingwhispers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4025-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-413\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.7500141876170479;width:291px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final Thoughts <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After travelling extensively and staying in countless hotels across the world, very few properties combine location, comfort and exclusivity as successfully as Melia Cala Galdana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stunning setting alone makes it memorable. Add the benefits of The Level, the exceptional panoramic views, luxurious rooms and access to the adults only facilities, and it becomes one of the easiest hotel recommendations I can make in Menorca. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would I return?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without hesitation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, I&#8217;ve already booked the same Level junior suite again.
